WEZB $10,000 Shopping Spree
Contest Rules
These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Entercom New Orleans, LLC d/b/a WEZB (collectively, the “Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available at the Station’s studio at 400 Poydras Street, Suite 800, New Orleans, LA, 70130 during regular business hours and on the contest page on the Station’s website at www.b97.com. To the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.
1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
2. Weekdays (excluding holidays) from Monday, April 7, 2008 through Friday, May 2, 2008 (“Qualifying Period”), the Kidd Kraddick In the Morning show will announce the “B97 $10,000 Shopping Spree Song of the Day” at approximately 9am. They will announce the name of the song as well as the artist who sings it. The winning “B97 $10,000 Shopping Spree Song of the Day” will be played on Station once per weekday between the hours of 10am (CT) and 10pm (CT) during the Qualifying Period. Immediately after that day’s winning song starts playing for the first time that day (must be a full song aired on Station, not a song clip or hook or a portion of a song used in an intro, promotional announcement or advertisement that airs), the 97th caller received at the Station on its contest line at (504) 260–9797 or 1-888-340-9797 will win a Qualifying Prize (described below) and will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing (see below), subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the contest rules. Only calls received at the preceding phone numbers are eligible to participate in this contest. If the designated song plays again later during the day, it will not be considered a winning opportunity and another prize will not be awarded. Only the song as performed by the specific artist named on-air as the performer of the winning song in this contest will qualify as winning opportunities. WARNING: Online listeners to streamed broadcasts may experience a lag in transmissions due to buffering limitations. Contest Participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts.
3. If the Station does not receive at least 97 calls when a winning “Song of the Day” is first played, the contest will not be repeated. Once a 97th caller is received during each contest day, the contest will end for that day and resume with a new contest on the following contesting weekday.
4. The Internet Advantage: Each Contesting Day at approximately 9am (CT), go to www.b97.com and click on the Free B Loader link and sign in with username and password. If you are not a Free B Loader, you will be able to sign up as a Free B Loader member to get a username and password. Membership is free. After signing in, it will take you to a web page that will tell you what that day’s Song of the Day is. However, there will be no advantage with respect to being the 97th caller as a result of getting the song nameI through this internet advantage. Station is not responsible for failure to receive e-mail or access its website.
5. On May 5, 2008, one of the qualifiers will be randomly selected in a drawing conducted by the Station to be the potential Grand Prize Winner (“Potential Grand Prize Winner”) if they successfully complete the Shopping Spree (see below) in accordance with the rules set forth below.
6. One alternate potential Grand Prize Winner (“Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner”) will also be randomly selected on May 5, 2008 from among all qualifiers to receive all merchandise selected and purchased by the Potential Grand Prize Winner (as set forth below) during his or her Shopping Spree in the event the Potential Grand Prize Winner does not successfully complete the Shopping Spree in accordance with the rules set forth below. In this event, the Potential Grand Prize Winner will forfeit all merchandise to the Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner. The Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner must accept all merchandise from the Shopping Spree “as is.” However, if it is determined that the Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner does not meet the eligibility criteria or fails to comply with these contest rules, then he/she will be disqualified and no one will win the merchandise obtained during the Shopping Trip and the merchandise will become the property of the Station and disposed of in the sole discretion of Station management.
7. Potential Grand Prize Winner and Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner will be called at the phone number on file with Station on Monday, May 5, 2008 no later than 5:30pmCT. Station will only be required to leave one message at the number provided to Station. Station is not responsible for a Station employee’s mistranscription of a telephone number. If no answer or answering machine is reached, Station will not be obligated to attempt any further contact. However, Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to attempt to contact Potential Grand Prize Winner and Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner more than once and shall not be required to attempt to contact the Potential Grand Prize Winner and Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner an equal number of times.
8. In order to be eligible to participate in the Shopping Spree, the initial selected Potential Grand Prize Winner must go to the Station’s studios during regular business hours and sign a liability release, present a valid state photo ID and social security number by Thursday, May 8th, 2008 by 5:30 p.m. (CT). If the selected Potential Grand Prize Winner fails to do so for any reason, he/she shall be automatically disqualified and (a) the Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner will be contacted by phone and deemed the Potential Grand Prize Winner if he/she meets the eligibility requirements and goes to the Station’s studios during regular business hours and signs a liability release, presents a valid state photo ID and social security number by Friday, May 9, 2008 by 5:30 p.m. (CT) and (b) a new Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from among the remaining qualifiers and will be contacted in the same manner as set forth above . If neither the Potential Grand Prize Winner nor Alternate Grand Prize Winner meets the eligibility criteria set forth in these Official Contest Rules, Station will continue to randomly select qualifiers until the earlier of (i) a Potential Grand Prize Winner and Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner have both been selected and the Potential Grand Prize Winner has come to the Station during regular business hours and provided all required information and signatures by the deadline then set by the Station, or (ii) May 9, 2008 at 5:30pm. In the event that Station does not have an eligible Potential Grand Prize Winner who has provided all required documents in a timely manner and an Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner by May 9, 2008 at 5:30pm, then this contest will terminate without any Grand Prizes being awarded and the $1,000 gift certificates for each location listed immediately below and the concert tickets that are part of the Grand Prize will become Station property and disposed of in the sole discretion of Station management. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these rules, an Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner will not be entitled to win or receive any Grand Prize in this contest without first coming to the Station offices during regular business hours and signing a liability release, presenting a valid state photo ID and social security number no later than 10 days after the conclusion of the Shopping Spree.
9. THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE SHOPPING SPREE (DESCRIBED BELOW) WHICH WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2008 FROM 9am (CT)-6pm (CT). DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE SHOPPING SPREE ON SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2008 FROM 9am UNTIL 6pm. Subject to the Potential Grand Prize Winner’s right to retain items purchased as described below and compliance with these contest rules, the Grand Prize for the Potential Grand Prize Winner consists of: a) $10,000 “Shopping Spree” in the form of up to $1000.00 in non-returnable, non-exchangeable merchandise at each of the following participating stores:
1) FeBe located at 115 Metairie Road, #A, Metairie, LA 70005 and 474 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA 70005.
2) Shoe Box located at 3118 Severn Avenue, Metairie, LA, 70001.
3) The Hamilton Jewelry Company located at 113 Lapalco Blvd., Gretna, LA, 70056.
4) Sylvester’s located at 2600 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA.
5) The Red Carpet located at 3245 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA, 70115.
6) Shoe Fly Pie located at 5200 Veterans Memorial Blvd. , Metairie, LA 70006.
7) Twinkle located at 5228 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA, 70115.
8) All About Me located at 3526 Severn Avenue, Metairie, LA.
9) Lady SoHo located at 3331 Severn Ave., Metairie, LA, 70002.
10) House of Blues New Orleans located at 225 Decatur Street, New Orleans, La, 70130.
Potential Grand Prize Winner gift certificates for the above locations are valid on Saturday, May 10, 2008 ONLY AND Potential Grand Prize Winner will only win the merchandise purchased during the Shopping Spree in the event the Potential Grand Prize Winner successfully completes the Shopping Spree in accordance with the rules in the immediately below Paragraph. The Potential Grand Prize Winner will also receive one (1) round trip limousine transportation for him or herself and 1 guest and one or more Station Contest Representatives (valued at approximately $1,000) and will be scheduled in advance for up to 9 hours for the Shopping Spree on Saturday, May 10, 2008 to each location in the following order:
Ø Pick-up for one (2) passengers on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 8:30am at Sylvester’s located at 2600 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA

Ø Lady SoHo located at 3331 Severn Ave., Metairie, LA
Ø Shoe Box located at 3118 Severn Avenue, Metairie, LA
Ø Shoe Fly Pie 5200 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA
Ø Sylvester’s located at 2600 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA. – Potential Grand Prize Winner must exit this location no later than 6 pm (CT)
Take-out lunch for Potential Grand Prize Winner and 1 guest from a restaurant of Station’s choice on the day of the Shopping Spree (Saturday, May 10, 2008) (valued at approximately $100) will be provided at approximately 1pm. All activities must be completed within the time frame of the contest as set forth above including but not limited to lunch, breaks, and transit. Station or sponsors are not responsible for any delay in the above-referenced Shopping Spree schedule, including, but not limited to traffic, street closures, etc. that impact the Potential Grand Prize Winner or the Station representative. WEZB will not be responsible in any manner for any warranties, representations, or guarantees express or implied, in fact or law, relating to any of the items purchased during the Shopping Spree.
10. Potential Grand Prize Winner will have up to 45 minutes at each participating location to spend the $1,000 gift certificate associated with that particular location. POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER CAN NOT START SHOPPING AT A PARTICULAR RETAIL LOCATION UNTIL THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY THE STATION CONTEST REPRESENTATIVE (WHICH INSTRUCTION WILL NOT BE UNREASONABLY DELAYED). Potential Grand Prize Winner will be given a gift certificate ($1000.00 value) and is required to spend between exactly $970.00 and exactly $1000.00 (tax included) at each location. POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER CANNOT PURCHASE GIFT CERTIFICATES WITH THE GIFT CERTIFICATE. POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER MUST PURCHASE MERCHANDISE ONLY.
No item(s) may be purchased which is solely a verbal agreement between the Potential Grand Prize Winner and a representative of any retail establishment. All items purchased must be hard products, not services of any kind. The items must be legally and physically purchased by the Potential Grand Prize Winner during the Shopping Spree. The Potential Grand Prize Winner may either: 1) use a store supplied shopping cart (if any) to collect the items and bring them to a store register for purchase or 2) if the store agrees to do so, write down the exact item, model number and/or SKEW number on an item list for the cashier to ring up. If there is no shopping cart and the store does not agree to write down the items, then it is the Potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest is solely responsible for bringing all items to the cash register.
Potential Grand Prize Winner will be at the mercy of store employee/cashier for the amount of time it will take to add up the cost of the items and/or tell them how far over or under they are to the target spending limit. In the event that a Grand Prize Winner has not completed their purchase at a particular location within 45 minutes, they will not be permitted to purchase any items at that location and will be required to return the gift card to the Station Contest Representative.
Should the winner not purchase between exactly $8730.00 and exactly $9,000.00 (tax included) worth of total merchandise at the conclusion of the Shopping Spree, all merchandise purchased during the Shopping Spree will be forfeited and awarded to the Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner, subject to verification of eligibility. Potential Grand Prize winner can bring items to help with calculation of value, such as a calculator and notepad and pen, and guest may help Potential Grand Prize Winner during the Shopping Trip. Merchandise for each store is non-returnable and non-exchangeable. All sales are final and must be completed on Saturday, May 10, 2008 during the 45 minute time period allocated to each location. Any remaining balances on the gift cards shall be forfeited.
Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify the Potential Grand Prize Winner if Station suspects that he/she or his/her guest has cheated, delivered a fraudulent receipt, or participated in any other suspected fraudulent activity. The Potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest must comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations and may not harm or endanger himself/herself or any other persons or property. IF STATION DETERMINES THAT THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER AND/OR HIS/HER GUEST HAS CREATED A PUBLIC HAZARD, CAUSED INTERFERENCE WITH OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, UTILIZED PUBLIC SAFETY RESOURCES, OR VIOLATED ANY FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAW AS PART OF PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, THE CONTEST WILL END AND THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER WILL NOT HAVE SATISFIED THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CONTEST AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO KEEP ANY OF THE GRAND PRIZE ITEMS PURCHASED.
Should the Potential Grand Prize Winner purchase between $8730.00 and $9000.00 (tax included) worth of total merchandise at the end of the Shopping Spree, Potential Grand Prize Winner will:
(a) be entitled to keep all merchandise purchased,
(b) will receive two (2) loge tickets to their choice of four (4) of the following shows at the House of Blues New Orleans (Potential Grand Prize Winner must make concert selections on Saturday, May 10, 2008 by 6:30pmCT):
1) Augustana show is Monday, June 2, 2008 beginning at 7pm. 18 years of age and older. (Value = $184)
2) Edwin McCain show is Saturday, July 12,2008 beginning at 8pm. 18 years of age and older (Value= $200.00)
3) Chee Weez show is Saturday, June 28 beginning at 8pm. 18 years of age and older.
(Value = $184.00)
4) Ladytron show is Sunday, June 8, 2008 beginning at 8pmCT. 18 years of age and
older. (Value is $194.00)
5) Stephen Marley show is Thursday, September 13, 2008 at 7pm. 18 years of age and older. (Value= $197.00); and
(c) will receive four (4) dinners for two (2) at the House of Blues New Orleans. Dinner includes one (1) appetizer, two (2) entrees, two (2)desserts and two(2) non-alcoholic beverages on the current menu. Value is $55 per dinner. Tickets and dinners may not be transferred or sold. Reservations are required. Hours of dinner operations are Tuesday-Thursday from 4pmCT-10pmCT and Friday-Saturday from 4pmCT-11pmCT; and
(d) will receive four (4) tickets to the AFL New Orleans VooDoo game on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 7pmCT. Tickets can not be transferred or sold. (Value= $64).
Should the Potential Grand Prize Winner NOT purchase between $8730.00 and $9000.00 (tax included) worth of total merchandise at the end of the Shopping Spree, the Alternate Potential Grand Prize Winner will receive, as their Grand Prize, all of the items listed immediately above in subsections (a) through (d).
11. Odds of becoming a qualifier depend upon the number of calls received. The odds of a qualifier winning the Grand Prize will be no more than 1:20.
12. Up to one Grand Prize will be awarded as described in Section 10 above. Neither the Potential Grand Prize Winner nor the Alternate Potential Grand Prize winner, as applicable, will be entitled to any refunds or exchanges from any of the participating locations in the Shopping Spree with respect to the Grand Prize.
13. Up to 20 Qualifying Prizes will be awarded in this Contest. Each verified Qualifier will receive only one of the following Qualifying Prizes depending on the date they qualified:
· $100 gift certificate to FeBe located at 115 Metairie Road, #A, Metairie, LA 70005 and 474 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA 70005. Hours of Operation for both locations are 10am-5pm, Monday & Saturday and 10am-6pm Tuesday-Friday. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: March 31,2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Monday, April 7,2008 and Monday, April 21,2008.
· $100 gift certificate to Shoe Box located at 3118 Severn Avenue, Metairie, LA, 70001. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 12pm-6pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: April 30, 2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Tuesday, April 15,2008 and Tuesday, April 29,2008.
· $100 gift certificate to The Hamilton Jewelry Company located at 113 Lapalco Blvd., Gretna, LA, 70056. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday from 10:30am-6pm and Saturday from 10:30am-4pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: April 30, 2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Thursday, April 10,2008 and Thursday, April 24, 2008.
· $100 gift certificate to Sylvester’s located at 2600 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: August 30, 2008. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Thursday, April 17,2008 and Thursday, May 1,2008.
· $100 gift certificate to The Red Carpet located at 3245 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA, 70115. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-5pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire:March 11, 2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Tuesday April 8,2008 and Tuesday, April 22,2008.
· $100 gift certificate to Shoe Fly Pie located at 5200 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70006. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 11am-7pm and Saturday from 9am-5pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: March 31,2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Wednesday, April 16,2008 and Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
· $100 gift certificate to Twinkle located at 5228 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA, 70115. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10am-6pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: April 30,2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Wednesday, April 9,2008 and Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
· $100 gift certificate to All About Me located at 3526 Severn Avenue, Metairie, LA; 1201 East Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette, LA, 70043 and 4632 Highway 22, Mandeville, LA, 70471. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm. Qualifying Gift certificates expire: April 30, 2009. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Friday, April 11,2008 and Friday, April 25,2008.
· Lady SoHo located at 3331 Severn Ave., Metairie, LA, 70002. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Qualifying gift certificates expire: July 31, 2008. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Monday, April 14,2008 and Monday, April 28,2008.
· Two (2) tickets to the Forever the Sickest Kids show at The Parish@House of Blues located at 229 Decatur, New Orleans, and a $50 dinner Gift Certificate (tip not included) to Red Maple Restaurant located at 1036 Lafayette Street, New Orleans, LA,70053 (Total value is $79.00). Red Maple hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 11:30amCT-10pmCT and Saturdays from 5pmCT-10pmCT and Sundays from 5pmCT-9pmCT. Forever the Sickest Kids show is Thursday, May 22, 2008 beginning at 5:00pmCT, standing room only. Show is all ages and there will be no refunds unless cancelled or rescheduled. This will be the Qualifying Prize on Friday, April 18,2008 and Friday, May 2, 2008.
14. The sponsors of this contest are: Entercom New Orleans, LLC, FeBe, Shoe Box, The Hamilton Jewelry Company, Sylvester’s, The Red Carpet, Shoe Fly Pie, Twinkle, All About Me, Lady SoHo, House of Blues- New Orleans and Nicoll’s Limousine.
Other Rules Specific to This Contest
15. This contest is open to all persons, regardless of having recently won a prize in any other Station contest.
16. Contest is open to residents 18 years or older within the boundaries of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. James, Lafourche, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, Terrebone, Tangipahoa, St. John the Baptist, or St. Charles Parishes in the state of Louisiana, or Hancock or Pear River counties in the state of Mississippi.
17. Station will designate one or more Station Contest Representatives who will accompany the Potential Grand Prize Winner throughout the Shopping Spree. Decisions of the Station Contest Representative will be final.
18. The Potential Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest are required to strictly follow all instructions and directions given by the Station Contest Representative during the Shopping Spree and understand that any intentional failure to comply with the processes, procedures and instructions may result in immediate disqualification, in Station’s sole discretion.
